Had a great tutorial with Grace and Kate today. They seem pleased with my plan of action and fed in some interesting comments, area to explore etc.
One I'm quite excited about is territory and how territories are marked. I have a lot of work to do, and I need to get disciplined!
Going home for the weekend - base camp for major clear out, and some quality time updating my new work network and myspace pages.
**Idea for today. Go for a derive, a photo walk. Try and figure out what it is about Glasgow that makes me feel at home. End up up the Arches to pick up my bike then work on some texts, images etc in the room, 6 til 9pm

They fed in Homesickness, the psychological theory of the 'transitory' object which parents use to comfort children who travel, the concept of roots, Varsha Nair's work on boundary. they inspired me to think about Britain and Britishness versus Scotland and Scottishness, and for some reason Kate reminding me of Franko B's book of photos of homeless people made me think of Banksy and street art. Perhaps my image can be a graffiti tag of Home Sweet Home on a Glasgow building?
I didn't do a photo derive on this day. But I did look at Banksy's book in Waterstones. I'm going to look at it now to be inspired for my own tag. How illegal is Graffitti? What are the chances of me being caught?
