It is so difficult to take the personal relationships away from colleague criticism.
In actual fact, the critism which was most difficult to hear in tone was the most useful.
Something along the lines of
'Think of your intention in every action, and think of what the audience are getting from your intention. Do they understand it, is it clear or muddled? And is the clarity or muddle intentional.'
Now, after being told the same thing in Winterschool, I have practical ways to get to that intention without creating cliched characters...maybe I can really take this clarity of action into the work?
I don't know helpful it is, but I really struggled with seeing the others work...I felt like the 3rd years presentations (not all but most) felt closer to the finished product than mine.
I think I need to get some urgency now, forget that we have extra time this year...in actual fact I should be in the same place at week 9 and pushing the work further than I got to last year, cos it's that bit more important.
